Prior to joining ROR, Mr. Nedeau was a Managing Director with Lincolnshire Management. Previously, he served as Vice President, Secretary, and General Counsel at Stepan Company, and was also Assistant General Counsel for UOP LLC/Honeywell. Prior to these positions, he served as the General Manager of Safety, Environmental, and Health of the UNO-VEN Company / CITGO. In that position, he was responsible for chartering oil tankers and arranging the transportation of crude oil from Venezuela to Louisiana. Mr. Nedeau also joined the Marine Preservation Association on the behalf of UNO-VEN/ CITGO. Furthermore, following the Exxon Valdez spill he was involved in the funding and building of the Marine Spill Response Corporation. Mr. Nedeau graduated from Michigan State University and earned his Juris Doctorate from Marquette University Law School.
Prior to joining ROR, Mr. Coyne was a Managing Director with Lincolnshire Management. Before that, he served as Vice President at GWB USA, Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of a UK based public investment company. In that position, he supported acquisitions and divestitures, provided oversight of portfolio companies and managed the financial operations of the U.S. holding company. Mr. Coyne graduated from Rutgers University and earned his MBA from the University of Georgia, and holds the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst.
Captain Whit Smith has served in a variety of local and national leadership positions overseeing port operations and port services since 1969. He has served in his current position as President of Charleston Navigation Company for 30 years, and is a past Chairman of the Board of Directors for the South Carolina State Ports Authority. In 2006, he was awarded the Christopher Gadsden Award by the South Carolina Maritime Association. Captain Smith is a graduate of The Citadel.
Captain John Cameron is the Executive Director of Charleston Navigation Company. He received master degrees at the University of Michigan in Aerospace Engineering and Naval Architecture / Marine Engineering. Captain Cameron received his undergraduate degree in Marine Engineering from the United States Coast Guard Academy. Captain Cameron became Captain-of-the-Port for Charleston, South Carolina, and a Federal On Scene Coordinator before retiring from the USCG.
Jay Smith is a licensed attorney in the state of South Carolina. Prior to joining ROR Mr. Smith served as Director of the St. Catherines Island Foundation. In that position he was responsible for strategic planning, financial management, human resources, leadership, and policy-making. Mr. Smith graduated from Brown University and earned his Juris Doctorate from Charleston School of Law.
Prior to joining ROR, Ms. Schwarz has served in marketing and operations leadership roles in a variety of companies with high growth and fast paced environments. She has developed and executed strategies to attain increased sales and net income while achieving cultural and operational turnarounds in service-oriented entrepreneurial companies. Ms. Schwarz graduated from University of Nevada Las Vegas and earned her MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
